Partners in aerospace
ProjectKwadraat serves companies in the aerospace sector. In the Netherlands, a large number of companies and research institutions are active in this sector and linked together like a chain. This chain consists of airlines, airports with supply companies, air traffic control, aerospace industry, suppliers of aircraft, maintenance, spacecraft and engine manufacturers, research institutes, universities, military and police aviation, and providers and users of satellite information.
More then 125.000 active engineers
In total, the Dutch aerospace sector employs more than 125,000 active employees and contributes directly to two and a half percent (15 billion euros) to the Gross Domestic Product in the Netherlands. Large companies are Fokker Technologies in Papendrecht, Hoogeveen, Woensdrecht and Helmond and KLM Engineering & Maintenance at Schiphol East.
The Dutch aerospace sector has key technological partnerships with Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Snecma and other major international manufacturers of aircrafts, aircraft engines and components.
