Duties
Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and finalizing projects according to the specifications and deadlines, all while keeping the project within budget. Creates and reports project status and allocates resources as needed. Defines project governance policies and manages the financial concerns. Communicates and interfaces with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units. May partner with external vendors based on the nature of the project. Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
Reporting to the Director of Packaging Technology & Support based in Boxmeer, the project manager assumes responsibility for the complete life cycle of packaging solutions, including development, validation, and implementation, with a specific focus on our manufacturing sites in Europe. This encompasses projects involving new packaging, issue resolution, and enhancement initiatives. You steer projects to successful completion, evaluating the impact of implementing packaging standards. You provide oversight to the ongoing implementation projects and initiate new projects aligned with the packaging strategy. Close collaboration is essential, involving coordination with R&D Product Development, Global supply chain, Global Engineering Services, Marketing, Global Supplier Management, as well as external suppliers of packaging materials and equipment.
This role is preferably based in Boxmeer (Netherlands) and is a temporary role to cover the leave of absence of one of the team members based in Salamanca (Spain). Close collaboration with the Spanish site will be a key aspect of the role.
Main responsibilities / assignments:
Supporting internal and external global production sites to implement new packaging standards, including modifications to filling and packaging processes.
Acting as a coach to increase awareness and knowledge regarding packaging for production and engineering staff.
Leading project teams to success by solid project management.
Identifying, initiating, supporting and following up of projects for continuous improvement of packaging processes with target to improve efficiancy at our manufacturing sites.
Review packaging material specifications, assess impact and define opportunities to improve cost and quality.
Support or lead investigation teams established to solve major packaging related quality issues occurring with our animal health products.
Set up of communication between and function as interface for manufacturing sites and other global departments such as Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Procurement, Quality and Marketing on packaging topics.
Facilitating of communication and function as interface for manufacturing sites to other global departments such as Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs and R&D Product Development.
